Coaching Experience & Accomplishment: Along with his new position of Director of Soccer for Empire United Syracuse, he was the first men’s soccer coach in the history of Wells College, where he led the Wells Express Men’s Team to the playoffs in its first three years of existence. Paolini was the NEAC Conference Coach of the Year in 2008. In addition to coaching, Mike currently is the Head Assistant Men’s Soccer Caoch at Lemoyne College. He also currently coaches the EUSA-Syracuse U16girls team and assists with the Developmental Academy. Mike was named NYSWYSA 2007 Girls’ Coach of the Year, and he coached the SFC U12 Girls to a Regional Championship win, a historic first for New York State youth soccer.
Playing Experience & Accomplishments: Paolini was an All-American at Plattsburgh State, trained with the Rochester Rhinos out of college and played professionally with the New Hampshire Phantoms. Paolini tallied two goals and two assists in his rookie season with the USL D3 club. A four-year starter at Plattsburgh, Paolini was named first team all-SUNYAC, all region and team Most Valuable Player.
Other Soccer Activities: He graduated with a bachelor of science in Hotel Restaurant Tourism Management in May of 1999. Immediately following graduation, he served as the Director of the Jr. Salty Dogs Futbol Club, and Owner/Director of Pao’s Soccer School of Excellence.
Coaching Philosophy:
